Job Title: Sr. Manager, Performance Media


Location: Tustin, CA or Remote only if local to headcouters in Tustin, CA.

 

Pay: up to $140K/yr + Full Time Benefits.

 

Summary: The Senior Manager, Performance Media is responsible for owning and growing a performance-driven acquisition channel, with a primary focus on lead generation through external partners. This role is accountable for scaling volume efficiently, managing high-spend budgets, and optimizing performance against CAC, ROAS, and payback objectives. Success in this role requires a strong performance mindset, partner management expertise, and the ability to translate insights into scalable growth.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead planning, execution, and optimization of performance-driven acquisition programs across partner-led channels.
  • Analyze spend efficiency, conversion performance, and customer value to optimize against CAC, ROAS, and payback objectives.
  • Own and grow the assigned acquisition channel, with full responsibility for performance management across external partners, including pacing, quality, volume, and return metrics.
  • Identify, onboard, and scale new acquisition partners while strengthening and expanding existing partner relationships to drive incremental growth.
  • Leverage email-based acquisition as part of the broader channel strategy, with accountability for lead volume, efficiency, and downstream performance.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate structured experiments to improve lead quality, conversion efficiency, and overall channel performance.
  • Own forecasting, budget pacing, and performance reporting for high-spend acquisition programs, ensuring efficient deployment of budget against performance targets.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and optimize landing experiences and acquisition funnels.
  • Monitor end-to-end performance from lead intake through downstream outcomes, identifying trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Provide strategic guidance on scaling, optimizing, or sunsetting partners and programs based on performance insights.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agency and vendor partners, driving accountability, transparency

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in performance-driven digital acquisition, with a strong emphasis on partner-led growth and lead generation.
  • Proven experience managing and scaling high-spend, performance-driven acquisition budgets with accountability to CAC, ROAS, and payback metrics.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing, onboarding, managing, and growing external acquisition partners.
  • Strong understanding of performance economics, attribution, and end-to-end funnel optimization.
  • Experience planning, executing, and analyzing structured experiments to improve lead quality and conversion efficiency.
  • Experience in setting up and working with CRO platforms (Optimizely, Google Experiment, VWO).
  • Solid working knowledge of web analytics and performance measurement tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive performance outcomes.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • For remote employees: reliable high-speed internet connection (recommended 100mb download or ability to connect via ethernet).
