Overview

New American Funding is seeking experienced and motivated Loan Officers to join our new Loan Readiness Team. 

This team works exclusively with clients who are currently enrolled with NAF’s loan readiness partner and are actively working to improve their credit and financial profile to qualify for a mortgage. 

Loan Readiness Loan Officers are responsible for maintaining strong, proactive relationships with Uqual clients throughout their improvement journey—reviewing credit progress, providing guideline guidance, and transitioning clients into full NAF loan applications once they become eligible. 

This position receives 100% assigned, warm leads (no cold calling or prospecting). Candidates must be guideline experts with a passion for helping clients overcome credit challenges. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of actively-enrolled clients working to become loan ready 
  • Review credit reports and guide clients on steps to meet program eligibility 
  • Track and document progress milestones and readiness checkpoints 
  • Communicate frequently with clients, partner Advisors, and internal NAF teams 
  • Reassess loan scenarios as credit improves and determine appropriate loan products 
  • Guide clients through pre-qualification and full loan application once ready 
  • Meet or exceed monthly readiness-to-funding conversion goals 
  • Maintain full compliance with NAF policies, lending regulations, and investor guidelines

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of loan origination experience preferred (purchase or refinance) 
  • Proven ability to structure and price loans accurately 
  • Strong understanding of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan programs 
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and persistence skills 
  • Current NMLS license (National test passed & 20-hour course completed) 

 

Preferred Experience 

  • Prior experience assisting credit-challenged or first-time homebuyers 
  • Familiarity with Consumer Direct or structured lead environments 
  • Currently licensed in several states 

 

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
