Overview

Position: Insurance Services Specialist

 

Location: Austin, TX  or U.S. Remote OK- must be able to work 8am - 5pm CST

 

Salary: up to $27/hr.

 

Position Summary:

The Insurance Services Specialist will report to the Insurance Supervisor and is responsible for reviewing reports and working tasks on a daily basis to monitor our insurance vendor. 

Responsibilities

  • Work insurance reports daily, monthly, or bi-monthly to monitor our insurance vendor disburses premiums timely or letters are sent out timely according to the business rules and investor guidelines.
  • Review reports to ensure all loans in a flood zone have flood coverage and meet flood guidelines.
  • Works insurance, flood, and loss draft related tasks within MSP.
  • Address and log escalations on hazard, loss draft, and flood issues for inquiries, disputes, and complaints to ensure they are handled within specified timelines.
  • Communicates with borrowers and or agents as necessary to resolve inquiries.
  • Works with the supervisor to identify, define, and implement process changes.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have at least 1 - 2 years of knowledge in escrow – Insurance, Loss Draft, Flood Services. 
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of mortgage experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of MSP, with at least 3 years recent experience working with MSP.
  • History of reliable attendance.
  • Combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the essential job functions.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry.
  • Preferred background in escrow mortgage servicing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
