Position:  Software Development Engineer I - AI Support Analyst

Salary:  $60K - $75K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK - If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule

Position Summary:  

Are you passionate about technology and eager to grow in the AI space? Join New American Funding (NAF) as a Junior AI Support Analyst and help enhance our loan processing systems through AI powered tools and data driven insights. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals with 1-2 years of technical experience OR recent graduates with relevant coursework in software development and data analysis. You'll support senior engineers in maintaining AI workflows, troubleshooting issues, and improving LLM integrations while working directly with business stakeholders.

• Monitor and maintain AI enhanced applications and data pipelines using Databricks and cloud platforms
• Respond to system alerts and troubleshoot issues using logs, monitoring tools, and reporting dashboards
• Support intelligent document processing workflows and risk model validation
• Assist in debugging and resolving technical issues in C#/.NET applications
• Query and validate data using SQL across Databricks, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake
• Work with business stakeholders to understand AI question/answer accuracy and gather feedback
• Support LLM prompt tuning, testing, and performance monitoring
• Document AI tool workflows, troubleshooting steps, and best practices
• Participate in testing and validation of AI models before production deployment
• Learn and apply emerging AI tools including Google Copilot, Databricks AI, and Azure OpenAI

Required: 

• 1- 2 years of technical experience (IT support, data analysis, or software development)

OR bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field 

• Completed coursework or hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and object-oriented programming
• Basic SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment

 Preferred: 

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, especially large language models (LLMs)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS)
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis or scripting
• Understanding of Git/version control systems
• Previous exposure to Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake
