Position:  Software Development Engineer III - C#

Salary:  $160K - $175K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK (2 days on-site if living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX)

Summary 

New American Funding is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team. The Sr. Encompass Developer is responsible for the development, configuration, and customization of the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS) and for managing ancillary systems and services integrated with Encompass. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the loan origination workflow. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management to evaluate business processes, ensure data integrity, and address compliance issues related to our loan origination systems. They will have a strong ability to see the big picture to produce long-term solutions, while also mentoring junior-level team members and helping them grow. 

Responsibilities

  • * Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable solutions within the Encompass ecosystem and its integrations. 
  • * Provide production support for critical applications, including data research, code analysis, and the deployment of enhancements and hotfixes. 
  • * Develop and maintain robust applications for batch processing, document generation (PDFs, Word Templates), and data exchange (CSV/XML/JSON) via HTTPS and SFTP. 
  • * Build and support C#/.NET applications, including .NET Core APIs, MVC web apps, and Windows/Console services. 
  • * Manage and troubleshoot Azure Web Apps and Functions, including the configuration and deployment of web-based applications and services. 
  • * Interact with internal and external partners to represent our technical platform and collaborate on solutions. 
  • * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and development within the team. 
  • * Lead by example, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning. 
  • * Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality, maintainable code. 
  • * Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert for the team, assisting with complex problem-solving and design decisions. 

Qualifications

* 7+ years of experience in advanced coding, C#/SDK/.NET development, and administration within the ICE Encompass platform.

* Proven experience creating custom applications, codebase assemblies, and plugins using the Encompass SDK.

* Strong proficiency with Encompass Developer Connect and other ICE Network services.

* Experience developing web applications and APIs that interact with the Encompass platform.

* In-depth understanding of the mortgage industry and the full loan origination life cycle.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a distributed team.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
