Overview

Job Title: Business Analyst II

 

Location: Austin, TX or Remote

 

Hours:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT, Mon-Fri, 2-3 evenings per month after 5:00 PM required for deployment support.

 

Pay:  70K- 90K D.O.E.

 

Summary: The Servicing Business Analyst will report to the Servicing Automation Manager. This individual’s primary roles are to manage various tasks associated with ICE application implementation, project implementation, and support the Servicing team.   

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

• Read and interpret with the BU vendor release notes and manifest documents to support the roll out upcoming features of default/call center servicing systems.
• Working with the BU to obtain their requirements needed to create process flows, requirement documentation and user scenarios, test cases, test case execution steps, and user test coordination.
• In coordination with the BU, analyze data, interpret results and troubleshoot if results look incorrect; request changes as needed to meet business requirements.
• Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and obtain prioritization from the BU to make recommendations to product team.
• Assist with the implementation of projects and enhancements to the default/call center Servicing systems.
• BA to participate with BU on schedule demos, spin ups and other ICE meetings as scheduled/needed
• BA to work tickets opened by the BU for issues and research
• BA to meet with NAF default team to determine what changes are needed to be made in the workstations
• BA document requirements and rules from BU, Legal, Compliance and obtain BU signoff prior to making updates in test region (these requirements can be used by the BU to make updates to procedures, job aids, training doc, ext)
• BA to perform initial testing and then lets the BU know when they can test updates
• BU to sign off on changes
• BA to complete configuration changes in system
• BA to communicate with ICE regarding production bugs and follow up on tickets with ICE
• BA to obtain BU Prioritization of upcoming enhancements


 

 

 

Qualifications

Job Competencies:

  • Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance
  • A degree in IT / Computer Science preferred
  • Knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry.
  • Experience and proven proficiency in delivering using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Understands how to capture business requirements and test changes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure.
  • Handles simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Able to work independently.
  • Analytical and organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills. Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office Suite, and MS Visio.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of MSP, with at least 3 years’ recent experience working with MSP/Director 7.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA/VA servicing requirements.
  • Knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB Servicing Guidelines and state regulations related to debt collection practices.
  • Knowledge of mortgage default processes
  • History of reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes occasional weekends; FT schedule working 8-hour shift M-F.
  • Must be able to pass background investigation.
