Overview

Job Title: Sr. Product Manager – Consumer Facing Web (Servicing)

Salary:  $155K - $175K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK - If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule

 

Summary: The Senior Product Manager is an expert at establishing a product’s vision, strategy, and roadmap, acting as the subject-matter expert on the value proposition, capabilities, and users. The Senior Product Manager has the ability to manage multiple products and/or those of a more complex nature, drawing from past experience and expertise. The Senior Product Manager is adept at conducting market research, competitive analysis, data analysis, and presenting product opportunities to Stakeholders. The Senior Product Manager ensures that their product meets the goals of the organization and has clear KPIs and success metrics that can be tracked upon launch. Key to this role is expert-level creation, prioritization, and development of Epics and Features including clear and detailed requirements, scope, acceptance criteria, and dependencies. Drawing from experience and best practices, the Senior Product Manager collaborates with Product Designers to create an intuitive and modern User Experience that supports the Epic and Feature requirements. This role works directly with a Product Owner who is responsible for the product’s execution with the Scrum Master and Development Team. The Senior Product Manager provides support and mentorship to the Product Owner as they create, develop, and prioritize User Stories from the Features that the Senior Product Manager creates, which are then developed and deployed by the Development Team. Upon Epic or Feature launch, the Senior Product Manager creates and collaborates cross-functionally on a Go-to-Market plan that ensures adoption and clear measurement of product results. Upon reviewing the product metrics, the Senior Product Manager determines opportunities for product optimization.

 

This role is focused on our Servicing Consumer Facing Web product; experience in this domain is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a thought leader when collaborating with Product Leaders as well as Business Stakeholders on business objectives, priorities, strategies, and expectations.
  • Identifies and prioritizes product opportunities through a combination of user research, market analysis, data analysis, and stakeholder ideas.
  • Expertly creates the vision and strategy for a product in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer through creation of personas, journeys, and the identification of pain points and solutions.
  • Is the expert on the product and its capabilities; demos the product and presents information to stakeholders as needed.
  • Creates and maintains a product roadmap considering value, effort, and dependencies.
  • Creates and prioritizes Epics and Features with clear and detailed requirements, scope, acceptance criteria, dependencies, success metrics, and designs.
  • Works closely with the NAF legal team to ensure that the product is compliant.
  • Partners with Designers to create intuitive and modern designs that meet Epic and Feature requirements.
  • Works closely with Product Owners to break Features into User Stories that are then slotted into Agile Sprints for execution.
  • Partners with the Engineering Team and Scrum Master to ensure clarity on the vision, strategy, roadmap, works items; attends Agile Ceremonies as needed and requested.
  • Partners with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to ensure execution, acting as a point of escalation for trade-offs, staffing needs, impediments, and risks.
  • Responds in a timely manner to all team messages, comments, and emails to ensure progress.
  • Proposes product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Ensures product success metrics are available upon launch; Monitors product success metrics including usage and performance towards ROI goals and draws from extensive experience to optimize the product as a result.
  • Creates a Go to Market plan and coordinates communication and training with business units and support teams to ensure a smooth launch, adoption, and success metrics tracking; owns the coordination of large-scale launches with multiple teams.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Product Management to prepare content for Product Strategy Reviews.
  • Ensures stakeholders and business leaders are kept informed through effective engagements and Product Strategy reviews.
  • Presents new ideas, tools, and resources to improve the product evolution process; assists with execution of improvements as needed.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Mentors Product Managers and Product Owners, acting as a visionary and point of escalation.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred 
  • Prior experience in Mortgage Servicing is highly preferred 
  • Other Duties as assigned.
