Position:  Divisional Pricing Support Lead

 

Location:  Remote

 

Compensation:  up to 120K, DOE + Quarterly bonus

 

Position Summary:

The Divisional Pricing Support Lead, reporting to the SVP, Pricing Support, will play a critical role on the pricing support team by providing dedicated one-on-one sales support to loan officers and executing key lock desk functions. This role focuses on optimizing pricing strategies, managing pricing exceptions, and ensuring profitability through data-driven insights and process automation. The Pricing Support Lead will collaborate closely with sales teams, secondary marketing, and divisional leadership to deliver tailored pricing solutions, maintain compliance, and drive operational efficiency. By leveraging advanced tools, including AI-driven platforms, the Pricing Support Lead will contribute to innovative pricing processes that enhance organizational goals and maintain a competitive market edge.

Responsibilities

  • One-on-One Sales Support: Provide personalized coaching and support to loan officers, educating them on pricing tools, product selection, and guidelines to optimize deal performance and client outcomes.
  • Lock Desk Functions: Manage lock desk operations, including pricing lock requests, extensions, and re-locks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with market conditions.
  • Price Exception Management: Evaluate pricing exceptions for adherence to established procedures, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance consistency and profitability.
  • Secondary PE Automation: Support the development of secondary pricing exception automation processes to streamline profitability analysis and decision-making at the point of sale.
  • AI Development Support: Leverage and contribute to secondary AI development through Near Miss Product and Pricing platforms, enhancing pricing accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Profitability Monitoring: Analyze deal-level profitability, identifying opportunities for operational improvements to maximize margins and support business objectives.
  • Escalation Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive pricing exception (PE) and profit & loss (P&L) reports to divisional leadership for escalation items, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain proactive communication with divisional leadership, regional pricing managers, and secondary marketing teams to align on pricing strategies and drive margin improvements.
  • Team Development: Cross-train and support the development of Structured Pricing Desk and Lock Desk team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Pricing Expertise: Maintain expert knowledge of pricing structures, mortgage products, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant execution.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of pricing and lock desk operations.

Qualifications

  • MS Office proficiency
  • Six Sigma Green Belt desired (not required)

Desired Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage banking focused on Secondary Marketing / Capital Markets or Finance with significant exposure to margin management, pricing strategy and P&L management.

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
