Position: Mortgage Appraisal Coordinator
Compensation- $19-$21/hr
Location: Remote
(if living within 30 miles of Tustin, CA will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule in office 2 days a week)
Schedule: M-F 7am-4pm PST

Responsibilities:
• Manage the Appraisal Transfer inbox and coordinate all incoming and outgoing appraisal transfer requests.
• Track, manage, and provide timely updates to lenders and loan staff regarding the status of appraisal transfers.
• Accurately log all relevant transfer documentation and actions in Encompass.
• Offer technical assistance and support to internal staff regarding appraisal transfer procedures and inquiries.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with appraisers, the accounting department, loan staff, and lenders to ensure smooth transfer operations.
• Execute the appraisal transfer process with a high degree of accuracy, adhering to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines.
• Perform additional duties and support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Experience in mortgage operations or appraisal management preferred.
• Familiarity with Encompass or similar loan origination systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with precision.
• Knowledge of appraisal regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
• Ability to work independently.
• Superior writing skills with the ability to clearly and effectively articulate findings.
• Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Demonstration of extensive knowledge and familiarity of residential Real Estate Appraisal Report Forms, terminology and the appropriate application of appraisal valuation techniques, methodology and appraisal theory.
• Related experience relevant to Residential Mortgage lending operations.
• Attention to detail for identifying errors and omissions.
Desired Education/Experience:
• High School diploma required
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years related field of work in residential appraisals or lending
Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
