Overview

Position: Senior Product Owner - CRM

Salary: $130K - $150K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK - If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule

Position Summary

The Senior Product Owner is a pivotal role in partnering with our product managers to execute on a roadmap for New American Funding to build and enhances its Bonzo CRM, that is designed to revolutionize the sales process for loan origination through intuitive and innovative technology. The Senior Product Owner role extends beyond tactical execution and starts to engage more strategically with product planning, roadmap development, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  1. Discovery Phase:
  • Perform effective product backlog management, developing product backlog items, communicating product goals, prioritizing product backlog work items, and ensuring that those work items are visible, understood, and transparent by stakeholders and the scrum team.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to define a product strategy and roadmap that maximizes the product's value to the business while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Work in an agile environment and continuously review business needs with the product team.
  • Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Manage dependencies across teams and ensure the smooth flow of information.
  • Understand scrum team throughput to ensure transparency to stakeholders regarding the product backlog and delivery expectations.
  • Builds and maintains a running groomed backlog of several sprints worth of work
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress and ensuring the product delivery plan is current.
  • Working with product, UX, and tech teams in the development of user stories
  • Plays an active role in mitigating impediments to ensure successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Support scrum master in daily scrum activities
  • Assist in implementation and refinement of Agile/Scrum best practices and trends
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure tracking mechanisms are in place.
  • Manage and coordinate multi-team releases, ensuring seamless handoff to operations and support teams.
  • Lead retrospectives to capture learnings from cross-functional teams and integrate them into future product iterations.
  • Establish and maintain product performance tracking mechanisms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, marketing, business, or related discipline
  • At least 7+ years’ experience as a product owner or in a similar role.
  • Must have experience in developing, implementing, supporting CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or other customer CRM platform
  • Experience in Mortgage Lending, Personal Loans, or Auto Lending is necessary
  • Proficient in agile methodology
