Overview

Position:  Social Media Manager

 

Location: This position is fully remote unless you live within 31 miles of NAF’s Tustin, Calif.-based headquarters.

 

Compensation:  80-90K, DOE

 

Position Summary:

New American Funding (NAF) is a nationwide mortgage lender committed to helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Social Media Manager to lead and execute high-impact strategies across our social platforms.  This role is ideal for a candidate with at least 4 years of in-house corporate social media experience, with proven results across all major platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.  You’ll report to the Sr. Content Marketing Manager and collaborate closely with our marketing, editorial, and content teams to grow brand awareness, drive engagement, and create a distinct voice for both our consumer-facing and internal/employer brand content.  We’re looking for someone creative, strategic, organized, and highly collaborative, who can toggle between big-picture planning and daily execution with ease.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the management of the social media calendar in Asana across all active platforms.
  • Create engaging posts and captions aligned with brand voice and goals.
  • Manage scheduling and reporting in Sprout Social.
  • Cross-post content effectively to expand reach and maintain consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns, recruiting, culture, and new initiatives.
  • Work with the design team to provide social-first creative direction.
  • Create and edit short-form video content using CapCut, Canva, and Adobe tools (Premiere Pro/Photoshop/Illustrator a plus).
  • Help script and appear in occasional consumer-facing videos.
  • Monitor trends and platform updates to keep our strategy fresh.
  • Track performance and provide monthly insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of corporate social media experience, preferably in a B2C or B2B2C brand setting.

  • Proficiency with Sprout Social and/or similar scheduling tools.

  • Skilled in Canva, CapCut, and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong understanding of platform-specific strategies for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.

  • Comfortable on camera and speaking with internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent copywriting skills for captions, video scripts, and internal messaging.

  • Highly organized with strong project management skills.

  • Team player with great communication skills and naturally works well across teams and functions.

  • Bonus: Knowledge of real estate, mortgage, or financial services industry
