Job Overview:
New American Funding is seeking a Margin Manager to join our Capital Markets team. This key role will be responsible for managing margin adjustments, aligning pricing strategies with market conditions, and capturing revenue opportunities. The Margin Manager will work closely with the Sales team to ensure pricing strategies are optimized to drive profitability and maintain a competitive market share. Additionally, this role will require expertise in reporting and analysis, utilizing platforms such as SharePoint, Smartsheets, Power BI, and other SaaS Intelligent Workflow tools. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are essential to succeeding in this position.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Margin Management: Oversee margin adjustments and ensure alignment with fluctuating market conditions. Adjust margins based on market trends, competitor pricing, and internal goals to maximize revenue and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Market Analysis & Alignment: Identify revenue opportunities and ensure that pricing strategies are adapted to current market dynamics. Drive decision-making based on market insights to optimize margin performance.
  • Market Trends & Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, and changes in market conditions to ensure the Secondary Marketing and Sales teams remain informed and adaptable.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards using platforms like Power BI, SharePoint, Smartsheets, and other SaaS Intelligent Workflow tools. Provide actionable insights to track performance metrics and empower the Sales team to make informed decisions.
  • Communication & Training: Partner with Sales to ensure pricing strategies are clearly understood and effectively communicated. Provide training on margin and pricing related processes and reporting tools to improve alignment and understanding.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in capital markets or secondary marketing, with a focus on margin management and pricing strategy.
  • Software & Tools: Strong proficiency with SharePoint, SaaS platforms, intelligent workflows, and tabular interface software for task management, tracking, reporting, and document sharing. Encompass, mortgage pricing engines (Polly preferred) and all Microsoft applications. Experience with Curinos a plus.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Experience creating and maintaining actionable dashboards and reports to analyze margin performance, market share, and competitive positioning.
  • Communication Skills: Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Finance, Risk Management, and other teams to ensure alignment of margin and pricing strategies.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of capital markets, secondary marketing, and industry regulations. Ability to monitor and interpret market trends to inform pricing strategies.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Ability to make data-driven decisions, quickly adapt to changing market conditions, and identify opportunities for margin optimization and revenue growth.
