Overview

Position:  Vice President of Retail Marketing

Salary:  $190K - $205K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK (If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work 2 days on-site)

About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Retail Marketing to develop and execute a national strategic marketing approach that strengthens our retail lending business and supports loan officers across the country. This role will create scalable marketing programs that regional marketing managers will implement at the local level. The ideal candidate has executive-level presence and a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals who directly support loan officers. A deep understanding of CRM-driven marketing, loan officer enablement, and borrower engagement is essential. Additionally, this leader will oversee recruitment marketing efforts to attract top loan officers and teams to the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Lead National Retail Marketing Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive, data-driven retail marketing strategy that enhances loan officer success and strengthens brand equity nationwide.
  • CRM Strategy & Implementation: Lead the development and optimization of CRM strategies to improve lead management, nurture campaigns, borrower retention, and loan officer productivity. Ensure CRM integration with marketing automation and sales platforms to maximize effectiveness.
  • Executive Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with C-suite executives and senior leadership to align marketing initiatives with business objectives, growth goals, and operational priorities.
  • Loan Officer Marketing Enablement: Design and implement scalable marketing programs, digital tools, and content strategies that empower loan officers to build relationships and drive business growth.
  • National Campaign Development: Oversee the creation of brand, lead gen, and customer retention campaigns that can be executed at the local level by regional marketing managers.
  • Recruitment Marketing Strategy & Execution: Lead recruitment marketing efforts to attract and retain top-performing loan officers and teams. Oversee national recruitment campaigns and provide strategic marketing support to individual recruiters.
  • Marketing Technology & Innovation: Evaluate and leverage cutting-edge mortgage marketing technologies to enhance borrower engagement, data-driven decision-making, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals who work directly with loan officers and regional managers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Collaboration with Regional Teams: Work closely with regional marketing managers to ensure national strategies are effectively localized and executed in diverse markets.
  • Compliance & Industry Best Practices: Ensure all marketing efforts align with mortgage industry regulations (CFPB, RESPA, etc.) and company compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with significant expertise in retail mortgage lending required.
  • Executive-level presence with experience influencing and collaborating with the C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Proven expertise in CRM strategy, implementation, and optimization for retail mortgage marketing.
  • Deep understanding of reporting and analytics that will drive understanding and business value.
  • Strong understanding of loan officer marketing needs, sales enablement, and consumer mortgage behaviors.
  • Experience leading national marketing strategies that drive borrower engagement and loan officer productivity.
  • Recruitment marketing experience, with a track record of developing campaigns to attract top mortgage talent.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, marketing automation, lead generation, and retention strategies.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a high-performing marketing team that supports loan officers.
  • Familiarity with mortgage industry regulations and compliance in marketing.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
