Title: Hybrid Cloud network Engineer

Location: Tustin, CA  Hybrid work schedule

Pay:  $105,000 to $154,000 annualy - DOE  Tustin, CA  Hybrid work schedule 

Position Summary:

New American Funding is well along the way with its journey to the cloud.  This role will focus on cloud network services and supporting on-premises data centers when needed.  

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and a change agent with experience and desire to drive the organization to modern technologies.  Must have solid experience with both cloud network infrastructure and on-premises infrastructure as well as IaaS, SaaS and PaaS vendors services implementations and integrations.  Must have strong communication and a team player and can work independently to resolve day to day cloud network related tickets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, automate cloud and on-premises network deployment within cloud hosted environments (Azure and AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot cloud to cloud connectivity using Alkira.
• Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls on the cloud and ability to trace and troubleshoot cloud and on-premises services.
• Full understanding of how network cloud services work on Azure and AWS and solid knowledge in tracing and troubleshoot services and network connectivity.
• Create virtual networks, subnets, private endpoint and working closely with IaC and cloud team to integrate service on the cloud.
• Monitor all network services through SolarWinds and update as needed.
• Working closely with hybrid cloud network team to standardize SD-WAN services and support remote offices if needed.
• Primary point of contact for offshore teams and assist in troubleshooting their cloud network and network security related issues.
• Escalation point of contact for hybrid network team.
• Actively monitor and respond to network degradation and outages.
• Develop, implement, and create a standardized environment for all network services.
• Being available 24/7 and support hybrid cloud network team services.

Desired Competencies:

• 1+ years of experience in cloud-to-cloud connectivity, preferably Alkira.
• 1+ years of experience troubleshooting VPN and SDP services
• 2+ years of experience in AWS networking
• 2+ years of experience in SD-WAN technologies
• 3+ years of experience in Palo Alto firewalls
• 4+ years of experience in Azure networking
• 4+ years of experience in on-prem datacenters configuration and troubleshooting (mainly Cisco and Arista routers and switches)
• Experience with developing, testing, executing DR/BCP plans
• Prior Experience working in a Network Operations Center role is a plus
