Overview

Position: Reverse Processor

 

Location: U.S. Remote- must be able to work PST hours.

 

Pay: up to $30/hr + Bonuses.

 

The Reverse Processor works with all parties involved in the Reverse Mortgage (HECM) transaction such as customer, loan originator, underwriter, funder, and additional third party partners to see the loan process through to closing. Performing a financial assessment of all prospective mortgagors on Reverse Mortgage Loans (HECM) such as purchase, refinance and traditional types, and maintaining consistent levels of communication and customer service with all parties in the transaction is paramount for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Processor reviews the loan application and all supporting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy before submitting the file to underwriting.
  • Verify all documentation from borrowers, such as income verification, property ownership documents, credit reports, appraisal, bank statements and HUD counseling certificate.
  • Confirm all required signatures are present on loan application and disclosures.
  • Conduct title checks to ensure there are no liens or issues that could affect the loan process.
  • Coordinate additional services as needed, such as title insurance and inspections.
  • Serve as the point of contact between loan officers, underwriters, appraisers, and borrowers to keep everyone informed of the loans progress.
  • Communicate with borrowers to collect any missing documentation or address discrepancies, which includes a welcome call once loan is received from Underwriting followed by an email cc’ing the loan officer to ensure uniformity of the loan.
  • Provide updates on the loan’s status, follow up on any pending requirements and keep client informed of next steps.
  • Once approved, work with the closing department to ensure all final documents are in order.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Three or more years' experience working as a Reverse Mortgage Processor or in an equivalent role
  2. Experience with Reverse Vision LOS
  3. Three or more years’ experience with HECM & FHA Guidelines

Desired Education/Experience:

  1. Three or more years' experience working as a Reverse Mortgage Processor or in an equivalent role
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
