Overview

Position: Print Production Operator


Location: Tustin, CA

 

Compensation: $60-70K/YR, DOE


Description:  New American Funding (NAF) is a nationwide mortgage lender dedicated to providing tailored home financing solutions to borrowers across the United States. As a Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for managing high-volume, digital printing equipment and production schedule for all marketing materials. This position will streamline key processes, identify efficiencies in production and materials usage to make projects move smoothly, uncover cost savings, and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Intake requests across multiple Project Management Platforms (PMPs).
  • Maintain detailed records of all requests.
  • Prioritize, manage production flow of all requests submitted via multiple PMPs.
  • Ensure print requests meet design specifications and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Prepare and pre-flight graphic files for print production.
  • Provide direction and support during schedule interruptions to accommodate emergency requests.
  • Examine finished sample proofs and approve quality before delivery or shipment.
  • Operate printing and finishing equipment as needed.
  • Perform monthly maintenance and safety inspections on equipment.
  • Oversee print operators use equipment correctly, ensure quality control, and deadlines are met.
  • Conduct employee training on equipment operations.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
  • Maintains inventory and supplies to meet fulfillment needs, and efficient use of resources.
  • Ensures that goals are met within budget and time-frame constraints.
  • Communicate with marketing personnel or other departments regarding production stages and status.
  • Provide pricing estimates for custom prints as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Ricoh, Konica, HP, or Duplo equipment.
  • Experience operating a variety of computerized equipment.
  • Understanding of postal standards and shipping requirements.
  • Vendor management, including negotiation of rates, adherence to quality standards, invoice review.
  • Solution-oriented with demonstrated success in problem solving, prioritization, creativity, and relationship-building.
  • Proficient with applicable printing software
  • Workfront, CRM and CMS expertise a plus
  • Experience with marketing methodologies and analytics is a plus.
  • Calm and collected with proven ability to deliver quality results under deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate production issues to internal teams.
  • Ability to anticipate pitfalls and steer projects around them.
  • Ability to manage and implement changes
  • Ability to determine design elements, pre-flight, prepare color-critical proofs, print, and finish media.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork along with creativity, flexibility, tenacity, good sense of humor and a high level of energy.
  • Knowledge of various types of printing processes, visual design elements and desktop publishing software.
  • Strong computer skills in Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Experience with Print Production equipment preferred. i.e. guillotine cutter, creaser/folder
  • Experience with relevant software preferred. i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, VDP Software, Fiery
