Overview

Position: Software Engineering Manager

 

Location: Remote

 

Position Summary:

The Software Engineering Manager will oversee a team of developers who design, develop, and maintain the software and systems built in React/Angular backed by a C#/Azure infrastructure application with a specific emphasis on usability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsibilities:

    • Closely collaborate with developer teams, designers, and program management to ensure solutions are delivered efficiently, effectively, and on time.
    • Set individual work standards and goals, review progress, as well as manage performance through Azure DevOps.
    • Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and/or documenting software when needed.
    • Mentor team to help advance their technical and analytical skills and lead by example.
    • Provides clear and timely communication around software deliverables and team status.
    • Analyzes the performance of cloud infrastructure and identifies alternatives for optimizing the usage of compute and storage resources.
    • Acts as liaison with manufacturers and vendors of software and application products.
    • Plans and executes software version upgrade releases and custom interfaces.
    • Recommends selection, approval, and acquisition of hardware, software, networking components, and services.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Azure DevOps
  2. Act as liaison between the product managers, senior management, and the development team.
  3. Experience hiring and mentoring software development staff.
  4. Strong knowledge of .NET and Cloud based architectures.
  5. Working knowledge of React/Angular as appropriate.
  6. Working knowledge of Clean Architecture, Domain Driven Design, and Event Driven Architecture preferred.
  7. Working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and Eventual Consistency preferred.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  9. Possess exceptional troubleshooting skills and be able to assess quickly complex programming applications.
  10. Able to keep up to date with the latest development software.

Desired Education/Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline
  2. 4+ years working as a Software Engineer
  3. 2+ years working as a Software Manager
  4. UI/UX experience preferred.
  5. Familiar with a variety of programming languages, codes and processes
  6. Experience in Mortgage industry with software development preferred.

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
