Overview

Position:  Sr Software Architect

 

Location: Remote/ hybrid two days a week if you reside within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX area

 

Pay: up to $185K d.o.e.

 

Position Summary:

As a Senior Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technology landscape of our organization. Through your experience, you will help drive the technical vision for our in-house products and systems. As an Architect, you will guide the software development for our teams through best practices, design patterns, your knowledge and tooling.  Your skill as an effective communicator and mentor will help create a generative and productive culture.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineering and product teams and foster relationships with leaders to become a champion of our architectural strategy.
  • Help define the long-term architectural vision for our organization to build resilient and performant systems for our customers.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to our teams. Ensure they follow best practices through training, examples, documentation, by conducting code reviews and engaging during team planning meetings.
  • Document new and existing systems to add to our knowledge base.
  • Build solutions to effectively address the challenges faced by other teams within the organization.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate software and solve integration challenges.
  • Stay up to date with developing technologies and provide recommendations to the organization. Introduce new tools and methodologies to improve teams and products.
  • Work with our DevOps engineers to build robust observability standards.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or work-related equivalent.
  • 12+ years of software development experience.
  • Proven work experience in an architect or similar role.
  • 7+ years of experience contributing to the architecture of new and current systems.
  • Experience writing documentation and creating UML, architectural and data flow diagrams.
  • Proficiency with .NET Core, (C#), React and Angular.
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Monitoring, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Event Grid, ElasticSearch, SQL Server.
  • Experience building integrations with vendors, and in-house APIs.
  • Having expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Knowledge in latest architectural patterns to build resilient micro-services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working across multiple geographies.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Certified with Microsoft Azure Solution Architect and/or Azure Development practices.
  • Experience optimizing applications or systems to maximize performance at scale.
  • Working knowledge of Banking, Financial Services or FinTech.
  • A deep understanding of cross functional teams.
  • Experience in production deployments and resolving production issues.

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
